UPAA secy in the dock over 'financial anomalies'
Hindustan Times Lucknow|December 31, 2024
Now, it seems that the Uttar Pradesh Athletics Association (UPAA) has 'decided' to end the existence of its secretary Devesh Dubey in the sporting body after seizing all his powers by tightening a noose around him, levelling serious charges of financial and administrative bungling.

LUCKNOW:

The UPAA has already sent a final letter to Dubey asking him to furnish the accounts details failing which the sporting body will file a FIR in the case. "Now, FIR is the last resort to get the accounts from Dubey as he is not responding to any letters from us," said a UPAA official.

On the other hand, UPAA president Ashutosh Bhalla has not only declared Dubey's all acts unconstitutional but has convinced the authorities of the Athletics Federation of India about the alleged 'wrongdoings' of Dubey and Co.

A compromise between the two warring factions in the Kanpur District Athletics Association has also dealt a big blow to Dubey as after this his existence in the UPAA will stand no more.
