NEW DELHI: The Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday urged the Election Commission to direct that an FIR be registered against Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge for conducting "malicious and slanderous" poll campaign against it in Maharashtra and violating the model code of conduct.
In a letter sent to the poll body, the BJP accused the leader of opposition in Lok Sabha of distorting the truth in a speech in Mumbai on November 6.
