Shah also promised to wipe out infiltration, terrorism, Maoism and corruption from Jharkhand within five years and make it one of the most prosperous states in India. Shah's remarks came during his speeches in election rallies at Giridih, Gandey and Dumri on Thursday.

In Giridh, he specifically targeted the Congress." Sonia-ji is very fond of launching Rahul Gandhi. He has been launched like a plane 20 times. But the problem is -- it never lands. It crashes everytime. I tell you that the 21st launch is going to crash at Baba Deogarh Airport. Congress will not cross five seats in Jharkhand," he said at a rally in support of BJP candidate Nirbhay Shahbadi.
