Now, investigation has revealed that the intended target was a 35-year-old IT professional from Bengaluru, who got into a scrap with a former corporator of Diva, officers said.
According to officers, the IT professional, who lived in Mumbai with his family, had an altercation with former Diva corporator Amar Patil and his brother on August 31 over who would stand on the footboard of a train compartment.
