With fashion on the brink of a hairvolution, the '80s style is making a comeback and how! Celebrities such as Katie Holmes, Emily Ratajkowski, Bella Hadid and Shraddha Kapoor, closer home, have all embraced perms, albeit with a hint of modernity.
Modern perm-spiration
Perm, short for permanent wave, has one clear advantage - it can make the hair look voluminous. It also lends that effortlessly chic look to any outfit, be it for a work day or a night out. "The perm is making a great comeback and it packs so much potential. You can go full blown with a Carrie Bradshaw perm. Alternatively, you can go for its variations, from a classic spiral to tight pin curl perms for shorter hair, a stack perm with soft waves for a bohemian look apt for your next holiday. What's also quite popular is the digital perm, which is a K-beauty look," shares Bina Punjani, creative head of a hair studio.
