A SON of Gerry "The Monk" Hutch's sister-in-law his "diamond of a promised mother" at her funeral that he will be a "completely different person".
Jane "Jenny" Hutch Burke, 66, died at home last week from a suspected heart attack.
The Monk was not at her funeral in Dublin yesterday.
He remains behind bars to await the verdict of the Regency Hotel murder trial.
Also absent was Ms Hutch Burke's youngest son Ross Hutch, 29, of Portland Place in Dublin's north inner city.
He was arrested 17 months ago and remanded in custody, charged with allegedly slashing the face of an ex-partner's boyfriend with a knife.
