ACTOR Cillian Murphy has landed his first BAFTA nomination for his role in Peaky Blinders - as he joins a host of Irish stars on the shortlist.
The Cork star, 46, got the Leading Actor nod for his character Tommy Shelby in the hit BBC show.
Murphy who was up for the Rising Star prize at the 2007 BAFTAS is joined in the Leading Actor category by big names such as Gary Oldman, Martin Freeman and Taron Egerton.
A host of Irish stars have been shortlisted in this year's awards, - including for Bad Sisters which received five nominations.
The Sharon Horgan hit has been nominated for Drama Series, Supporting Actress for Anne-Marie Duff and Director: Fiction for Dearbhla Walsh.
Talented Sharon, 52, has also been nominated for her writing in Motherland.
