HARRY'S BACK AT HIS POST

FOR once, it is not all about the money.

After all, Harry Kane can be assured that he will get a bumper contract wherever he plays.

Tottenham are trying to sign him up to a new deal worth in excess of £300,000 a week, which would make him one of the Premier League’s top earners and the biggest in the club’s history.

But Kane, who turns 30 later this month, would be guaranteed even more money elsewhere if he was to sit tight, see out the remaining 12 months on his contract and move on a free transfer next summer.

Manchester United, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and the rest would happily sign him up – and give him a huge deal.

This is about whether Tottenham can actually persuade Kane to sign up to the vision of new manager Ange Postecoglou (circle), because there remains a belief at the club that the England captain wants to stay.

His dream would be to stay at Tottenham, break the Premier League goal record and, more importantly, win the silverware to go with his own personal success and Golden Boot trophies.
