THE critically-injured sister of tragic debs crash victim Dlava Mohamed has woken from her coma in hospital and asked: "Where is Dlava?"

Avin Mohamed, 18, was left fighting for her life following the horrific crash and remains in intensive care in Dublin's Beaumont Hospital.

The tragedy claimed the lives of her 16-year-old sibling and her 17-yearold pal Kiea McCann in Clones, Co Monaghan, on July 31.

In a heartbreaking interview with the Irish Mirror outside the hospital, Lilev Mohamed, 23, the sister of Avin and Dlava, told how her seriously injured sibling has just woken from a coma.

She does not yet know the full extent of the devastating crash - or even that Dlava is dead.

An emotional Lilev said: "She asked, 'Where is my sister Dlava?' "Then we told her just to focus on herself and we didn't say much because doctors advised us not to say much about my other sister.

"She woke up about four days ago and she is responding well right now.

"We asked her name, do you know who I am, do you want anything and she's able to answer these questions.

PROMISING

"The doctors say this is promising and she's able to respond well but at the same time there are other possibilities as to how it's going to affect her. As she's not fully awake it's hard for us and the doctors to know what the situation is."
