A DAUGHTER of an Irishman killed in the US said she is being “persecuted” following the revelation the retrial of her father’s killers in the US has been delayed again.
Jason Corbett, 39, suffered devastating head injuries at the home he shared with his second wife Molly Martens Corbett in North Carolina on August 2, 2015.
Martens, 39, and her 72-year-old father Tom, a retired FBI agent, were convicted of the second-degree murder of the father-of-two at his North Carolina home in Panther Creek.
They claim they acted in self-defence in their 2017 trial and both served four years of 20 and 25 years for their respective convictions.
They were later overturned on appeal and there will now be a retrial in the case.
