BUNGLING Russian commanders have admitted a bomb was accidentally dropped by one of its warplanes on a Russian city close to Ukraine’s border, injuring two.
Belgorod, 25 miles east of the RussiaUkraine border, was hit by a massive explosion late on Thursday that rocked apartment buildings, destroyed cars and shattered windows.
The blast left a 20m-wide crater in the middle of a tree-lined boulevard flanked by apartments and hurled one vehicle on to the roof of a shop.
Two people were injured, and a third was later taken to hospital with hypertension, authorities said.
