A BUSINESSMAN has lost 50 relatives in Turkey's horror earthquake, as the death toll hits 40,000.

Eleven members of Ali Tekce's immediate family perished, including his cousin's entire family.

Six of the 11 were children. Dozens more relatives died in the huge 7.8 magnitude quake that ripped through southern Turkey and northern Syria 10 days ago, killing at least 40,000 on both sides of the border.

It was followed hours later by a second quake almost as powerful.

Devastated Ali said he is "trying to keep going" so he can support relatives in Beverley, East Yorks..
