A PROBE into claims of sexual abuse in schools run by religious orders won't "right the wrong that was inflicted" on people, Norma Foley said yesterday.
But the Education pledged the Government will work with survivors to ensure it can "never, ever happen again".
Minister She announced a scoping inquiry, led by senior counsel Mary O'Toole, into accusations by 230 victims against 77 members of the Spiritan order, aired in an RTE Radio 1 investigation last November called Blackrock Boys.
The allegations included claims by 57 people that they were abused as children at Blackrock College in Dublin from the 1970s.
