A FORMER FBI agent who investigated the disappearance of Annie McCarrick believes “anyone” could have killed her and gardai need to re-interview everyone in her life.
Kenneth Strange, a close friend of the McCarrick family, travelled to Ireland in 2021 and at that time urged gardai to upgrade the now 30-year-old case to a murder investigation.
And now that the case has finally been upgraded as of last week, Mr Strange says he believes every person who ever interacted with Annie should now be re-interviewed.
He added: “After travelling there and retracting her steps and talking to the gardai, I did come away with the fact that they’ve now got to take a look at not just Larry Murphy but also entertain the possibilities of every other suspect and run them down one by one.
“It could be anybody is what I’m saying and everyone and anyone who was in her life should be re-interviewed.
“You know, did their stories change? Are they the same stories? I think that has to be done.” Tragic Long Island native Annie vanished without a trace after she told pals she was heading for a walk in Enniskerry, Co Wicklow, on March 26, 1993. She was 26.
