LIAM BROADY celebrated the biggest pay-day of his career then revealed the personal cost of fulfilling a lifelong dream.
The Stockport star had Centre Court rocking as he upset world No.4 Casper Ruud in a five-set thriller.
It brought a cheque for £131,000 and the promise of greater riches should he maintain his form today against Denis Shapovalov.
"Not bad for a day's work," he said. "But I don't have a car, I don't take holidays, I don't have a house. I've not had a life."
Broady had just come from two sets to one down to beat the Norwegian "beast" he compared beforehand to Norway international striker Erling Haaland at his beloved Manchester City.
Having taken the first set 6-4 he had rallied from losing the next two 3-6 4-6 to blow Ruud away 6-3 6-0. That's the same Ruud who had reached three of the previous five Grand Slam finals.
