As many residents headed to various locations in Dubai for lively celebrations, others preferred to retreat to the peaceful ambience of the desert. There, they embrace New Year's Eve in a location that offers a celebration that has desert charm and fireworks displays but at a more serene pace, free from the city's noise and crowded roads.
Maha AlMazmi, a 26-year-old resident of Dubai, chose to spend her New Year’s Eve in the desert. “I booked for my family in Al Marmoom Desert. I learned about this place from a colleague at work."
"I found this affordable. It cost Dh3,100 for 13 of my family members. It included unlimited beverages, a dinner buffet, and a fireworks show from the middle of the desert."
"We stayed until 2am enjoying all the activities," she added.
