A WOMAN has been arrested on suspicion of money laundering in connection with a fatal dog attack on a dad-of-five.

Jonathan Hogg, 37, was mauled to death by what was believed to be an XL bully-type dog at a house in Leigh on Thursday night.

The dog was later shot dead by armed police. Yesterday police said a 22-year-old female had been arrested on suspicion of money laundering.

It follows the arrest of a 24-year-old man on suspicion of being in charge of a dangerously out-of-control dog causing injury resulting in death. Both suspects have been bailed pending further enquiries.

Six adult dogs and nine puppies have also been seized after two houses were searched as part of the investigation, while £37,000 of ‘items believed to be the result of criminal proceeds’ have also been confiscated.
