A survey conducted by TimeOut quizzed thousands of people across the world asking locals to rate their city.
It asked for them to rate the experiences and favourite venues, as well as the affordability and quality of the nightlife, and Manchester has made the coveted list.
Manchester ranked eighth, finishing behind Rio de Janeiro, Manilla, Berlin, Guadalajara, Austin, Lagos and Rotterdam.
It ranked above cities such as Budapest, Accra, Buenos Aires, Taipei and Singapore.
