A MUM whose fiancé was brutally murdered by his neighbour has told of her anguish that their four-year-old son will now grow up without a dad.

Vincent McDonagh, 45, was beaten to death in an unprovoked attack by neighbour Lee Burns and left to die in the street in Oldham in November last year.

His heartbroken fiancée Demi-Leigh Sykes has revealed their four-year-old son looks under the beds to find his missing father and sleeps with his dressing gown each night.

Burns was jailed for life, to serve a minimum 20 years and 164 days, at Manchester Crown Court in May after being found guilty of murder.

Demi, 28, from Oldham, says: "Burns did not take one life, he took three. My son and I will never get over losing Vinnie.
