Nabil Adil, Oliver Rothwell and April Farnworth raced their Audis from Castlefield to Wharfside Way in Trafford, waving out of their windows as they overtook each other, on May 30, 2020. The trio were stopped by police and were described as being 'apologetic, saying 'pride and arrogance' had 'taken over! At Manchester Crown Court, all three were handed community orders and banned from driving for 12 months after what Judge Sarah Johnston called an 'egregious example of dangerous driving! However, she said all three were 'young people trying to make their way in the world' and was 'satisfied' community orders were a suitable punishment.
