Campaign group Palestine Action has claimed responsibility after the Barclays branches on Market Street and Mosley Street were vandalised.
Both branches have had parts of their glass fronts shattered, while red paint has been daubed over both premises. On the Mosley Street branch, the words ‘stop funding genocide’ have also been painted.
Police taped off both banks yesterday morning and enquiries are ongoing.
