Berrada left his position as chief football operations officer at City Football Group and is currently on garden leave.
He has taken the role of CEO at United following the investment of Sir Jim Ratcliffe and will start the job in the summer.
The appointment is expected to bring changes at Old Trafford and one area that will be impacted is transfers.
Under Berrada, City signed the likes of Erling Haaland, Bernardo Silva, and Rodri among others.
Speaking to the Financial Times back in November, Berrada outlined his strategy behind transfers.
