A WOMAN stabbed her boyfriend with a shard of broken glass after the noise from him cleaning his flat woke her up.
Amanda Bates, 52, was asleep on the man's sofa when he returned home in July this year.
He had earlier asked her to leave his flat but she refused, Manchester Crown Court heard.
As he began cleaning up bits of broken glass whilst the TV was on, Bates, of Newton Heath, woke up and punched him in the face.
The man pushed her back onto the sofa in selfdefence, before Until you guilty, hold your he say you woman she grabbed a piece of the glass stabbed him in and the back. Fortunately he sustained no serious injuries.
