A TEENAGE girl on trial accused of murdering Brianna Ghey had notes about serial killers including Harold Shipman in her bedroom, a jury heard.
Girl X, from Warrington, is on trial accused of murder alongside her codefendant, Boy Y, from Leigh.
Both have pleaded not guilty. They cannot be named for legal reasons.
Brianna, 16, a transgender girl, was stabbed 28 times in a park near Warrington, jurors at Manchester Crown Court have been told.
She was found face down in the mud by dog walkers in Culcheth Linear Park at about 3 pm on Saturday, February 11. Prosecutors claimed the pair had been planning to kill Brianna and had discussed killing other children.
They alleged the pair 'egged each other on' in messages they shared. Jurors were told that in an interview with police, Girl X told officers she had met Brianna in the park, but claimed that she'd left with a 'random man' from Manchester.
The court heard both defendants were arrested 'simultaneously' the day after Brianna's death, at around 7.30 pm. In Girl X's bedroom, jurors found a kitchen knife and a number of handwritten notes, including a plan to kill Brianna' that Girl X had photographed and sent to Boy Y on February 3.
