WHERE would we be without our local shops? Our friendly retailers who supply us with everything from daily essentials and snacks, to last-minute ingredients and parcel returns.
Many go above and beyond to make sure their customers don't go without, and give back to their community in ways only they can.
These shopkeepers are the friendly faces that greet us any time from morning 'til night when we drop in for, say, some milk, a newspaper or perhaps (well, definitely) a National Lottery ticket.
These stores come in many different shapes and sizes, but all of them share common ground in that they play an important role in their local areas.
Clearly, our communities would not be the same without them.
And without the tens of thousands of retailers selling tickets, The National Lottery wouldn't have had the same incredible impact on the UK.
Almost £50 billion raised for good causes since 1994. Nearly 700,000 projects spanning community, sport, arts and heritage.
An average of £30 million raised every week for National Lotteryfunded projects.
