The attack, in the early hours of yesterday, happened on Woodlands Road in Cheetham Hill.
Greater Manchester Police said the violence unfolded after two vehicles first crashed into each other along Crumpsall Lane, following a dispute.
One of the vehicles, which was stolen, fled the scene and later smashed into a bollard in Salford where it was abandoned.
The other vehicle went to a hotel on Woodlands Road in Cheetham Hill. Once there, the occupants were then targeted by two attackers who arrived on a motorbike at 12.50am.
