A MUM and son have BOTH won a share of a £1m prize pot.
Tracy Mellor, 54 - a longtime People's Postcode Lottery player says her Stockport street's huge win is thanks to her late dad 'shining down' on her. She was handed a cheque for £100,000 on Saturday alongside nine other winners.
Her son Joe Mellor, 31, found out he had also bagged a £100,000 share of the money over a Facetime call. Joe, who is currently travelling, said the win is 'unbelievable' and 'lifechanging!
When Tracy, from Heald Green, caught a glimpse of her winning cheque, she said: "That's me dad that. He died two weeks ago. My dad's done this for me. "It's bittersweet but my dad is shining down on me."
Dad-of-six Peter Kemp, who died at the age of 75, had played the Postcode Lottery for years before Tracy followed suit and started playing.
