THE identity of a woman whose body was pulled from the water at a south Manchester beauty spot remains a mystery, three weeks on.
Police were called to the River Mersey, at Chorlton Water Park, on March 21 and the body was recovered from the water.
Despite extensive investigative work including specialist examinations, DNA testing, and reviews of missing persons records, the identity of the woman currently remains unknown, Greater Manchester Police have said.
Due to the length of time that the woman had been in the water before discovery, her approximate age, ethnicity, and cause of death have not yet been established.
