THE Cameroonian Football Federation has confirmed that Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana will miss Tuesday's World Cup qualifier against Libya through injury.
The goalkeeper, who joined United from Italian outfit Inter Milan in the summer, was forced off in the latter stages of Friday's 3-0 win over Mauritius. He was withdrawn after 81 minutes with an unspecified injury and was replaced by Fabrice Ondoa.
Though Cameroon boss Rigobert Song was unable to provide a diagnosis of the injury following Friday's match, it has been deemed serious enough to keep him out of the upcoming clash with Libya in at the Martyrs of Benina Stadium.
In a statement, which has been translated, the Cameroonian Football Federation said: "The Cameroonian Federation Football informs public opinion that the player Andre Onana, injured during the match against Mauritius on November 17, 2023 in Douala, is not part of the delegation of the Indomitable Lions currently in Benghazi.
