A FORMER well-known Manchester DJ has avoided jail after being caught with indecent images of children breaching a court order.
Scot Reedy, 36, had previously been before the courts for similar offences when he was sentenced to a suspended prison term in February 2021.
Along with the sentence, he was made the subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO), which stated he must inform his offender manager of any devices he owns that are capable of accessing the internet.
However, during an unannounced visit from Greater Manchester Police, officers found 12 devices, with one containing computer-generated indecent images of young children.
Appearing at Manchester Crown Court on Monday, Reedy admitted to breaching the order and was sentenced to a community order.
Brendan O'Leary, prosecuting, told the court that on September 5 2020, Reedy appeared before Tameside Magistrates in relation to offences of possession of indecent images of children.
