A HUGE police operation launched to target the assets of suspected criminals has netted a staggering haul including the seizure of 18 luxury watches and 68 bottles of vintage Champagne from one house raided.

Thousands of pounds worth of designer clothing and more than £50,000 in cash were found and seized after searches of the property.

And police said nine electric mountain bikes and four 'luxury vehicles' were also taken away in the raid, together with documentation relating to a number of luxury caravans based in the Lake District.

The bottles of Champagne seized have been described by Greater Manchester Police as 'high end, with many of them believed to be desired collectables.
