The India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership reached new milestones, with a focus on critical sectors including technology, defence, and nuclear energy, as US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan concluded a two-day visit to India. Sullivan is on a visit to India two weeks ahead of Donald Trump's inauguration as the 47th president of the US. He said that US is finalising necessary steps to "remove" hurdles for civil nuclear partnership between Indian and American firms.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a meeting with Sullivan, hailed the growing India-US partnership, particularly in the areas of technology, defence, space exploration, biotechnology, and artificial intelligence (AI). He emphasised the importance of continuing to build upon this momentum for mutual benefit. "The India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership has scaled new heights, including in the areas of technology, defence, space, biotechnology, and Artificial Intelligence. We look forward to building upon this momentum for the benefit of our people and global good," Modi shared in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
