The Moving Mountains Grant Awards focused on projects aligned with 2 of the Leon H. Sullivan Trust’s 3 Strategic Plan program areas: Education and Training and Economic Development. The “Trust” has awarded 6-organizations their new Moving Mountains Grant Award and three individuals enrolled in Trade Schools.
“The grants are founded on the principles of Dr. Sullivan. We’re following our mission for entrepreneur training and entrepreneur development. We want to instill (in all of you) the principles of self-help. If we can give you--a minimal amount of help, you can take it from there. This is why we have initiated the ‘Moving Mountain Grant’ and the ‘Step Up Scholarship’ Award,” said Debra White, on why this award ceremony is significant.
The winners were: Scholarship Recipients-Terry Campbell and Terrea Brown. This scholarship was awarded to these two students (who are entering trade school) in recognition of their academic achievements.
