The wheelchair racer, 32, from Halifax led from the start to win the T34 800m final in the State de France, with teammate Kare Adenagan taking silver.

This was London 2012 poster girl Hannah’s ninth gold from the past four Games – and it was Team GB’s 47th gold in Paris.

Kare, 23, from Coventry, won her second silver after finishing the runner-up to Hannah in the 100m final last Sunday.

The last full day of action brought a final gold rush in the pool, on the road and on the track.

Swimmer Stephen Clegg led the way by winning his second gold in the S12 100m butterfly.
