Police were called to his Nottingham campus accommodation in January 2022 after he allegedly attacked another person during a row.
He was not arrested, despite being wanted on an outstanding bench warrant for failing to turn up to a magistrates' court four months earlier.
It is understood no one involved wished to pursue a prosecution so the matter was closed by police.
