Officials have shared that the CBI has submitted a closure report to a special CBI court, which will decide whether to accept the closure, order further investigation, or proceed with the trial based on available evidence.
The case was initiated in 2020 after a three-year preliminary inquiry based on a complaint from the then deputy secretary of the Union Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food, and Public Distribution, Premraj Kuar. The CBI had registered the case against Adani Enterprises, former NCCF chairman Virender Singh, and others.
