India no longer expects Tesla Inc. to proceed with an investment in the country soon, as executives from Elon Musk’s electric car company have ceased communication, according to sources familiar with the matter. These sources, requesting anonymity due to the sensitivity of the information, revealed that Musk’s team has not followed up with New Delhi officials since the billionaire postponed his visit to India in late April. The government understands that Tesla is facing capital challenges and does not plan to make new investments in India in the near future.
