FNB account holders who aren't actively engaged with its eBucks rewards programme are missing out on earning back thousands of rands a month in eBucks (10 eBucks = R1). Even a moderately engaged customer who changes only a few behaviours could easily earn R1 000 a month back in eBucks.
There are three important considerations to ensure one earns the maximum potential number of eBucks.
First, make sure you're on the "correct" account across its Premium account offerings: Premier, Private Clients and Private Wealth.
The theoretical earnings potential is greater on Private Wealth - up to eB30 000 (R3 000) for Smart Spend per month, but the thresholds are also higher; up to R75 000 versus up to R40 000 on Private Clients.
It is no use having a Private Clients account if your typical monthly credit card spend is only R20 000.
You will be better off on Premier as you will earn more eBucks for Smart Spend.
