Police are hunting for a man who attacked passengers on a Joburg Metrobus yesterday morning, leaving one person dead and several injured.

'Hitman' kills woman, injures others on bus

The incident took place in Fleurhof, Roodepoort.

Joburg member of the mayoral committee (MMC) of transport Kenny Kunene, who was at the scene, said the woman who had died was a bank employee.

He said four passengers were about to board the bus at a particular station but were accosted by a man with a gun who was already on the bus.
