One worker died and several others sustained injuries after a massive fire broke out at Vasantha Chemicals in Atchutapuram village of Anakapalle, Andhra Pradesh.

The incident took place after a chemical reactor exploded while a staff member, Pradeep Raut, was cleaning it.

The explosion led to a fire, prompting fire tenders to rush to the scene. The injured worker was immediately taken to the hospital but he died while receiving treatment, said the Anakapalle District Collector, Vijaya Krishnan.
