The incident occured in Silchar in Cachar district which has seen protests amid the prevailing situation in Bangladesh where Hindu minorities have been allegedly targetted. The protest were made by local groups including the Bajrang Dal. The organisers additionally readjusted their hoardings by removing Bangladesh from it.
The trade fair, organized last week, featured stalls from Bangladesh, Thailand, and Afghanistan. However, after the protests, the organisers decided to readjust their promotional hoardings by removing the name of Bangladesh.
