The BJP received a significant boost ahead of the October 5 Haryana Assembly elections as several prominent figures, including former Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) leaders and Ambala Mayor Shakti Rani Sharma, joined the ruling party on Sunday. This development comes as the BJP intensifies its campaign at a rally organised in Jind.
Three former JJP MLAs— Jogiram Sihag, a close associate of former Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala; Anoop Dhanak; and Ram Kumar Gautam— officially joined the BJP during the Jan Ashirwad rally in Jind. All the three MLAs had recently quit JJP.
Their defection marks a crucial gain for the BJP, as these leaders bring substantial influence and support from their respective constituencies.
