He alleged that whenever the Congress assumed power in the state, they deliberately weakened the power companies. He said that during congress rule the debt burden on power companies has surged by 1.5 times, reaching a staggering Rs 90 thousand crores. Sharma also highlighted that another contributing factor to the companies’ mounting debts was the Congress government’s failure to make timely loan repayments, resulting in additional losses of Rs 300 crores for the companies.
