As part of this initiative, MCD has allocated Rs. 20 lakh per zone to enhance air quality management across the city. These funds will be distributed to all 12 zones of MCD to address air pollution more effectively.
An official from MCD told that the allocated amount will be used to strengthen equipment and manpower to reduce dust pollution. It will support making sprinklers operational and hiring drivers after assessing manpower needs at the zonal level.
