The Supreme Court in the case Jagit Singh v State of Punjab & Ors observed in the case of murder of Punjabi Singer Sidhu Moosewala, where the BJP leader Jagjit Singh seeking a CBI probe in the murder has approached Supreme Court. An FIR was registered on May 29, 2022 at PS City 1 Mansa, District Mansa and an investigation has been sought under section 302, 307, 341, 148, 149, 427 & 120B of Indian Penal Code 1860 and under section 25 & 27 of Arms Act 1959.
