Man held for hitting youth with axe

A criminal who attacked a youth with an axe during the immersion ceremony of the idols of Goddess Durga in the Singhpur area on October 12 was arrested, sources said on Wednesday.

According to reports, 40-year-old Tamma Lodhi, a resident of the Itma area, hit Ram Bihari Dwivedi with an axe after an altercation.

Another culprit, Ravi Lodhi, a resident of Urdana, who was also involved in the incident, was arrested on November 23.
