A head of the February 2025 Assembly elections, two welfare schemes announced by AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal have sparked controversy. The Lieutenant Governor (LG) V.K. Saxena has ordered a probe into alleged illegal data collection related to these schemes following a complaint by Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit. The Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana, which promises women over 18 a monthly stipend of Rs 2,100, and the Sanjeevani Yojana, offering free treatment to those over 60, are now under scrutiny.
