To streamline traffic fine collection and improve compliance, the Ahmedabad Traffic Police has introduced 250 advanced Point of Sale (POS) machines across the city. Distributed among 14 traffic police stations, these machines have been operational for the past month, enabling on-the-spot challan generation and fine recovery. As part of a broader initiative by the state traffic department, a total of 500 POS machines have been allocated to four major cities, including Ahmedabad.
