7 Palestinians die in West Bank

At least seven Palestinians, including a doctor, were killed when Israeli forces raided a militant stronghold in the occupied West Bank on Tuesday, in one of the deadliest violence in the territory since the war in the Gaza Strip erupted seven months ago, according to local authorities.

The military said its forces struck the Jenin refugee camp adjacent to the city of Jenin in the northern West Bank, both of which have long been a bastion of armed struggle against Israel. The Palestinian Health Ministry said at least seven Palestinians were killed and nine wounded.
