11,735 registrations in August alone; whopping 1,072 crore revenue earned; developers optimistic as festive season around the corner

8-mth hsg sales at new highs

THE Mumbai experienced its best eight-month period, with record property registrations and revenue collections from January to August. The city recorded 96,601 property registrations, marking a 16% increase from 83,615 registrations during the same period in 2023. At Rs8,010 crore, this year's revenue shot up by 10% from Rs7,262 crore earned last year.

During the same period, Mumbai registered an average of 12,075 properties per month, a 16% rise from 10,452 monthly registrations in 2023. In August 2024 alone, the city saw approx 11,735 property registrations, bringing in over Rs1,072 to the state crore exchequer.
